Gidu Shroff
Background:
Gidu Shroff has 39 years of experience in the semiconductor industry in engineering, manufacturing, procurement, global supply chain management, international alliances, joint ventures and licensing. He worked at Intel for 29 of those years in various capacities. Most recently, he was a senior management consultant to the executive vice-president of sales and marketing. Prior to that, he held the positions of corporate VP/officer, chief procurement officer, VP of outsourcing, and GM of ASIC manufacturing. Before joining Intel, Gidu worked at Fairchild Semiconductor in various positions. He started his career as a process engineer, first with Signetics Memory Systems and then with Advanced Memory Systems.
In addition to Crossing Automation (2010), Gidu also serves as a board member of Astria Semiconductor and MagnaChip Semiconductor. He was a board observer at SMSC from 1997-2001 and FlexIC from 2001-2003.
Gidu holds an MBA from Santa Clara University, a Masters in Material Science from Stanford University and a Bachelors in Metallurgy from Poona Engineering University in India.
