Dr. Peter Hanley
Background:
Dr. Peter Hanley currently serves as a consultant to both public and private high technology companies. He retired in 2004 as president of Novellus Systems in San Jose, CA. Before becoming president, he served as executive VP of worldwide sales for ten years. Prior to joining Novellus Systems, Peter was a group VP of worldwide sales and service at Applied Materials as well as VP/general manager of their Etch Products division. Before Applied Materials, Peter worked at Varian Associates for six years as VP of technology and as VP/general manager of their Extrion Ion Implantation division. In 2009, Peter received the SEMI "Bob Graham Award" for his innovative contributions to Sales and Marketing in the Semiconductor Equipment Industry.
He joined the board of directors of MKS Instruments of Andover, MA in 2008 and Crossing Automation of Fremont, CA in 2010.
Peter earned his Ph. D. in Applied Physics from Cornell University and was granted a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Northeastern University.
